The Teacher

Kliff

Student first. Teacher second. Old Teachings is built and run by one person — and that singularity is the point.

The Story

I was not born into wisdom. I arrived at it through persistent discomfort — the kind that refuses to leave until you are willing to look at yourself honestly.

For over a decade I moved between traditions. I read the Hermeticists and the Stoics. I sat with African elder thought that never made it into Western curricula. I found that beneath the different vocabularies, all true wisdom traditions are describing the same territory: the architecture of the human mind and the laws by which it operates.

Old Teachings is my attempt to synthesise that territory clearly — not for scholars, but for people who want their thinking, their decisions, and their lives to improve.

I am not a guru. I am not enlightened. I am a practitioner who has found certain tools reliably useful, and who believes that sharing them precisely and without mystification is itself an act of service.

"Teach only what you have practised. Share only what has changed you."
